Frequently Asked Questions
Rx Outreach is a nonprofit, mail-order pharmacy that provides over 1000 affordable medication strengths to people across the United States and Major US Territories. Rx Outreach was a program originally developed in 2004 as a subsidiary of Express Scripts. In 2010, Express Scripts spun off Rx Outreach to be a standalone, charitable organization to improve access to prescription medications for uninsured and underinsured people. We have provided prescription medications to over 500,000 patients.
Since 2010, Rx Outreach has been committed to providing safe, affordable medications to patients across the nation. All of our medications are FDA-approved and sourced directly from pharmaceutical manufacturers. We are regulated by the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency and licensed by the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. Additionally, we maintain the necessary licensing to deliver FDA-approved medications.
All prescriptions are filled by licensed pharmacists at our pharmacy located in the St. Louis area. We ensure your prescriptions are mailed in secure, nondescript packaging to any address you specify, with all packages being trackable.
Rx Outreach is proud to be accredited by several esteemed organizations: the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy as an Accredited Digital Pharmacy, the Better Business Bureau as an Accredited Charity, and GuideStar as a Platinum Level charity, which is the highest rating possible.
Our commitment to excellence has been recognized nationally, with Rx Outreach being listed among the "Best Online Pharmacies" by Forbes in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and by Money Magazine in 2020 and 2021.
While most medications from Rx Outreach are not free, our status as a nonprofit organization enables us to offer prices significantly lower than those at retail pharmacies. Additionally, through various partnerships, we offer a selection of medications for free. Rx Outreach primarily offers generic drugs, which are a chemically equivalent, lower-cost version of brand-name drugs. A brand-name drug and its generic equivalent are required by the FDA to have the same active ingredient, dosage, safety, strength, usage directions, quality, performance, and intended use. At Rx Outreach, you’ll find the same quality medications that you’re used to or the generic equivalent for less, delivered to your door.
